Asha Carat
Carat is the traditional measuring unit of a diamond's weight (1 carat = 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams). A carat is divided into 100 "points," so the same diamond can be represented as weighing a carat and a half, 150 points or 1.50 carats.

Asha stones are heavier than genuine diamonds. Therefore, a 6.5mm round diamond would weigh 1.0 ct while a 6.5mm Asha would weigh more than 1.0 ct. However, the two stones would be the same size, 6.5mm in diameter.

In order to minimize the confusion this can create, all stones are listed on with their actual size in mm and/or the diamond equivalent in carats. Please refer to the Asha inventory page for mm to carat conversion for Asha stones.

The carat size viewer to the right illustrates how Asha stones of different carat weights look when set in a ring. Note that a 2-carat Asha does not appear to be twice the size of a 1-carat Asha when viewed from the top. (Please note that the sizes are fairly accurate but may not be 100% correct. This is provided for illustration purposes only.)
